Since 2006, political campaign websites have evolved dramatically, packed with flashy tools designed to entertain and impress. Perhaps that has been a winning edge for some candidates. For others, perhaps it was a loss at a great cost. But bells and whistles don’t solve real problems. And, the voters with real problems are not moved an iota by bells and whistles.

My design choice for this campaign website will age me, perhaps some of you, too. If you return after the first visit, you are not here for the bells and whistles, or the red, white and blue colors that are customary for most political candidates. You are here for agreement that we still have the grit needed to put power back where it belongs-with the people.

Election cycles have come and gone. Yet, in Texas the winning edge has favored only one party. With a winning streak like that, solving real problems is not the point. Their point is to choose the issues that keep the issue-motivated voters showing up at the polls. Their point is to keep the winning edge by any means necessary.

There is only one point to the contributions on this website. That point? Big donors or special interests have no place here.
